IN&OUT Digital Fashion Magazine

An ongoing digital fashion series expanding the identity of Game for Peace's virtual character Gilly through themed visual storytelling.

About the project

Background

Gilly is one of the most important characters in 'Game for Peace' . Based on our client's needs, we created a custom digital fashion magazine for her. The themes covered a variety of topics, including city themes, panda themes, game anniversary themes, Spring Festival themes, and birthday photoshoots, aiming to enrich and flesh out Gilly's character, blurring the boundaries between virtual characters and the real world.

Design Process

ISSUE 001 - GUANGZHOU TOWER & CHINESE NEW YEAR

Blending Guangzhou's local identity with Lunar New Year, the visual direction combines traditional architecture, kapok flowers, Xiguan windows, and festive elements to create a contemporary interpretation of Lingnan culture.

Design Process

ISSUE 002 - GAME FOR PEACE 4TH ANNIVERSARY

A light-tech visual direction developed for the game's 4th anniversary, combining futuristic environments and digital elements to connect Gilly's fashion identity with the evolving world of Game for Peace.

Design Process

ISSUE 003 - PANDA LAND

A nature-driven issue connecting Gilly with the game's Giant Panda themed world. The visual direction uses natural environments and softer storytelling to explore the relationship between the character, wildlife, and conservation.

Design Process

ISSUE 004 - LUNAR NEW YEAR OF DRAGON

A Lunar New Year issue inspired by the Year of the Dragon, translating elements from the in-game environment — including dragons, the Great Wall, fireworks, and traditional lanterns — into a fashion-focused visual story.

ISSUE 005 - GILLY: MULTIPLE IDENTITIES

A character-focused photobook exploring the different sides of Gilly — from hunter and training officer to model, singer, and celebrity — through a series of fashion-inspired visual identities.
